 I have been a CTRS for over 20 years and have loved watching individuals that I worked with succeed because of their involvement in recreational therapy. I decided a few years ago that it was time to start giving back to the career I enjoy so much. I want to do what I can to help the next generation of Recreational Therapists succeed and advance our profession further. Being a lifetime member of ATRA and a board member for Southeast Recreational Therapy Symposium are two ways to help the profession. I was excited when I heard Georgia was starting their own Chapter. I know from working with other non-profits that the start up can be costly. I wanted to make sure that GTRA would start off on a solid foundation and, hopefully, my gift to GTRA made that possible.
