CTRs spotlight

Hey Georgia Rec Therapists and students! We've started spotlighting you all on socials and on here! If you are in school in Georgia, previously studied or worked in GA, or are currently practicing in Georgia…. We want to see all the incredible things happening in our field within our state!

Use this Google Form to apply for this! Once that is filled out, be on the lookout to see your spotlight on all of our social media! Please fill that out and share the link so we can celebrate all the wonderful things going on in the Peach State!

ERIC CARRINGTON GRAY JR. -  CATALYST SPORTS

Eric is a graduate from the University of Georgia with a degree in Recreation Therapy. Following graduation, he moved to Park City, Utah and worked 3 years for the National Ability Center. There he taught people with disabilities how to ski, snowboard, canoe, climb, horseback, cross-country snow ski, cycle, and water-ski. Eric has received his clinical experience working for the VA hospital in Augusta, Georgia, the Shepherd Center and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Through the years Eric has become a Water Safety Instructor, Wilderness First Responder, Emergency Medical Technician, Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, Professional Ski Instructor of America (adaptive), an American Mountain Guide Association instructor and an Assistive Technology Professional. In 2012 he started Catalyst Sports, a 501c3 non-profit that gives people with physical disabilities access to the life changing impact of adventure within a supportive and inclusive community. Starting from a successful trip up the Grand Teton on September 11, 2012 with a group of disabled veterans, Catalyst now operates in 9 cities throughout the US providing opportunities to climb, kayak, and mountain bike.
